When assigning work to scribes, only those scribes/QAs will be able to see and dock the work. Assigned jobs will also avoid forfeiture, so please use caution since the job could risk late delivery if the assignee fails to complete the job by its due date.
To assign work to a specific employee:
- Go to the queue tab. Choose a due date and refresh the queue.
- For Custom-only or newer employees, typically it's best to select the furthest due date possible for jobs.
- Toggle the checkbox off to the left beside a job (can do multiple jobs at once).
- Select "Assigning" from the dropdown under "Job Assignment/Recycling"
- Select the name of the scribe you're assigning work to.
- Select the level - scribe or QA (will default to scribe).
- Click "Assign Jobs."
To undo an assignment:
- Follow steps 1-3 above
- Click "Clear Scribe & QA assignments"
To assign work to a specific office OR to make a job undockable:
- Follow steps 1-3 above.
- Select which office you're assigning the job(s) to.
- Select the level, if applicable.
- Click "Assign Jobs."
To make an undockable job dockable again:
- Follow steps 1-3 above
- Select "Any" from the dropdown list for Office.
- Click "Assign jobs."
NOTE: You cannot assign to a specific scribe and office at the same time - the two actions need to be repeated separately. This is especially important to note when making an undockable job dockable again - first you must assign it to Office, Any. Assigning to a specific scribe will need to be done as a separate step.
If you are trying to assign enough work to someone to fill their entire shift (example: a Custom-only scribe), take the amount of hours they have on the schedule and divide it by their average XF to figure out how many hours worth of work they would need. Note, if they have an XF greater than 5, then just divide their hours for the day by 5 to calculate how much work they'll need (sometimes XFs higher than 5 are showing up inaccurately and/or tech issues from the day or two before negatively impacted stats). If you are concerned they may not get to all the work in time, can always check back later that day/the next day to see if you need to remove any assignments on jobs they haven't yet started.
