You've been selected as a scribe who does excellent work and who we recognize as being highly dependable. We would like to invite you to participate in our "Surge Scribe" program!

Q: What's the surge?

A: The scribes who are a part of custom create transcripts from video files. During this time of year, we frequently receive large surges of work: think multi-day professional conferences, entire seasons of TV shows, webinars, lectures, and more!

Q: What's involved?

A: We would love to have you join the team by participating in two orientation sessions. After attending these orientation sessions, you would be part of the "surge" team. So at the beginning of every shift, you would check to see if there's work available in Video Formalizer (don't worry, we'll tell you how to access Video Formalizer!) and if so, you would start that work. If there's no work available, you would proceed to log in to normal Formalizer.

Q: How long does this last?

A: We actually would love to have you as a surge scribe until further notice. Some surge scribes may decide that the video work is not for them. What we've seen, however, is that many people enjoy the variety of work. So we are happy to have you on for the foreseeable future!

Q: What else do I need to know?

Your work statistics (like XF) are separate between Video Formalizer and normal Formalizer, so your normal XF will not be affected. You will be qualified for pay increases based on your Formalizer stats, which means you will retain pay increases you currently have. If you're currently participating in incentives, your time spent in Video Formalizer will count towards these incentives. In the event your XF in Video Formalizer would qualify you for a higher compensation amount, you'll receive the higher amount.

We understand with the holidays right around the corner, you may have plans for time off so provided that time off isn't more than a few days, you're still welcome to come on board as a surge!

Orientation is a two-day process with offline time provided for your attendance both days. The first session is an introduction to Custom/Video Formalizer with the second day held as a review and Q&A. Orientations will be held as follows:

Day 1 - _ 11:00am-12:30pm

Day 2 - _ 11:00am-12:30pm
