Standby is a useful tool for filtering Custom jobs. When a Custom scribe is put on Standby, it means they will not naturally see work in their queue UNLESS it is:
1. Assigned directly to them.
2. A job is rushed twice (let's call it a super rush). A super rush lifts all standby, access level or blocking functions and allows any scribe to see it in the queue and dock it.
Option 1 is the preferred method. If we're busy enough to have to super rush a job, we probably need scribes off standby anyway
One thing to be aware of is: Once a scribe is on standby, the auto-forfeiting system will see their COSA schedule as "none." This means if a scribe was active, and has a job docked, and then they are put on standby, that job could suddenly forfeit. The system will think the scribe has no time on COSA and will kick in the auto-forfeit function. This can be avoided by assigning the work directly to the scribe before putting them on standby.
