Forced Completion Jobs

FORCED COMPLETION JOBS

FCJs are jobs that have gone through the process of the "Force Complete" function in CTScribes. This action marks the job complete for whichever scribe has it docked. It would usually only be used in a circumstance where a scribe has completed 95% of the job, and we still want to give the scribe full credit for the job. The job is then turned into a QA job, and the QA is given a popup that the job was force completed. It is then the QA's task to complete the remainder of the work before QAing the job.

The Force Completion function should be used sparingly and mostly in extreme cases, only when Custom Management feels it's appropriate for the scribe to receive full bonus potential for the work they did. For example, if a scribe completed half a job, is no longer logged in and risking late delivery of the job, and has provided no communication to Custom Management, then we would just use the Forfeit function and NOT force complete the job.

CAUTION!

A job that has been Force Completed should remain ONLY as a QA job. Using the Force Completion function awards a production bonus to the original scribe, and this bonus will not pay out more than once. Therefore, these types of jobs must always remain as QA jobs and should never be changed from QA back to Scribe job type. Even if a Forced Completion job gets transcribed in Scribe mode, the new scribe will not receive production bonus since the Force Completion action has already paid this out to the original scribe.

Examples where we WOULD allow a Forced Completion

  • Scribe completed most of the job and began having issues just before completing / sending.
  • Scribe is nearing completion and has to leave in an emergency situation and has informed Custom management they cannot complete the job on time. Although if a significant amount of the job is left to be scribed, we should request an adjustment to their pay and have the job roll over to a new scribe.
  • Some other unforeseen issue that is out of the scribe's control, but the scribe has still put in a significant amount of work towards the timely completion of the job.
    • Server outage
    • Internet outage
